From bed to flexible system
A mother and father had a good idea
How do we create the best environment for stimulating play and deep sleep for our child? Else and Henning Lykke Jensen asked this very question when they became parents for the first time in 1972. Soon after, they began creating high-quality children’s furniture in solid wood.
The bunk bed was a particular hit and has gone on to become a classic in markets both home and abroad. The success has partly been down to the fact that the demand for bed systems has grown – with theatre modules, slides, pull-out desks, curtains and bed pockets.
The company expanded considerably during the 1990s, investing in forests, recycling and biofuel. There was a steady stream of new ideas coming all the time, both in terms of the development of the FLEXA system and optimisation of our own resources and not least the earth's.
