A trip to dreamland

The mattress is the key to a good night's sleep

Sleep is important. Every parent knows this. Sleep is essential for well-being, concentration and general health

If your child tosses and turns through the night or complains of stiffness or aches in the morning, it can be a sign that your child has outgrown their mattress.

A mattress should be:

  •       Supportive – hold the back in the correct position and match the contours of the body
  •       Comfortable – not too hard or soft, and give a sense of security and safeness
  •       Spacious – so there is enough space to move freely when sleeping
  •       Durable – constructed from the best materials to last

Choose the right mattress for your child

We have researched children's resting and sleeping habits in relation to different mattress types, and have identified the different ways that they need to be supported as they grow. The result is healthy as well as durable mattresses.
FLEXA mattresses are classified according to weight rather than age.

Your child's weight

We recommend

0-32 kg.

Under 40 kg mattress or all-round mattress

33 - 39 kg.

All-round madras

40 +

Over 40 kg mattress or all-round mattress

The rule of thumb is that the lifetime of a mattress is typically seven years. The all-round mattress is therefore the logical choice when your child approaches 40 kg – or between 10–12 years of age.
